FOF #490 - Woof! There It Is - 02.27.07

Podcast
Who let the dogs out?
We did. And in more ways than one.

We are just crazy for our canine friends. So today we're doing a whole show on dog-themed news and Sal-E's spooky looking dogs Mr. Gray and Chico. (Pictured here) Actually, we are sure they are adorable but those glowing eyes are creepy.

We talked a whole lot about dogs! Well, sort of. Marc talks about an email from a fan wondering why he can't get "a good favor from a friend” in Taiwan. It seems that there are two or three schools on how to give good favors. Which school do you belong in? Please let us know.

One big thing we forgot to talk about was Human Dogs. We'll just have to dedicate an entire episode to that one. Sorry Pup Don! Pup Don is one of our most dedicated listeners who enjoys the art/fetish of pretending he's a dog and having his master take him out for a walk, feed him, and make sure he's well groomed. Arf arf! Good thing he doesnt think he's a monkey.

Needless to say, we got a little carried away with our theme.

Join Sal-E, Marc Felion and me, Fausto Fernós as we talk about Sal-E's shaving habits, uncomfortable names for dog stores, training your husband and sniffing each others butts.

Join us on Wednesday February 28 at Hydrate in Chicago to see Sal-E's drag act! It's going to be a lot of fun. We'll be taking pictures.

The podcast that goes woof woof arf art pant, pant sniff- Feast of Fools.

I think Sal-e should do Hey Now Hey(the other side of the sky) by aretha franklin... I ate some mushrooms the other night and listened to this song. I came to the conclusion that Aretha must be an alien.. great show...

or I guess if you want to be more practical... amy winehouse - you know I'm no good

Hey Sal-e, there are so many songs I would recommend ... how about Mama Cass' "Make your own kind of music" (great campy song) or something from Robin S (e.g. Love for love); do you happen to know Sister Bliss? She did great Euro-Dance tracks in the 90ies over the pond, like "Hold that sucker down" or "Life is a bitch" ... oh boy, I am feeling like a small girl in a candy store

I love some SAL-E. Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" is top 20. How about that? "I Just Want To F---ing Dance" by Allison Jiear from the Jerry Springer Opera is still one of the coolest videos I have seen on youtube.com
A belated birthday shout out to Amanda. Happy Birthday!

SO guys you didnt really answer the question on your show...you just kind talked around it. Which was, What would happen to the show if you all broke up? I know it would still continue...but would Mark still be part of it. Would you all be able to do it even if your broken up and dating random people who are not each other??

Said by: JANET at February 27, 2007 01:28 PM

The podcast is what it is, and will be here as long as people continue to listen, support it and tell their friends.

Would Marc or I be part of it if we broke up? Who knows? It's hard to podcast from inside an insane asylum, but we're always willing to try new things.

Glad you were able to post your first comment Janet! Look forward to seeing more participation on the site from you, and your insightful questions.

You guys are so cute. My little puppy ears did prick up (heh heh, I said prick) when I saw the "Woof" in the title of this show. If the idea of puppy play does spark your interest there is a great documentary called "Woof" (http://www.wiseorchid.com/pupumentary/index.htm).

Excellent show, guys. I wish I was there to see SAL E's performance. Since it's a dog themed show I'll recommend you do "Doggie Tom" by Lords of Acid and you can walk out on stage with a sexy little twink boy on a leash. Okay, I have a one track mind. Bite me.

Happy Belated B-day Amanda. Damn, all your birthdays are at the same time. I have a package I've been procrastinating sending and it's getting bigger and bigger every day. LOL!

Love you guys!!!

Lovely show! Salvador E. is growing on me, he's so funny and nice!

I would love to see him perform, but I'm in México, so... Some other time...

I'm a low manteinance bitch! LOL

I think Sal E should do "U + Ur hand" by Pink. It's kick ass and up beat.

Said by: Bryan from L.A. at February 27, 2007 02:36 PM

My vote for Sal-e’s performance on Wednesday is:

GIVE IT TO ME! With Sal-e being Nelly Furtado, Fausto being Justin Timberlake, and Marc as Timbaland!!!

Said by: Judson at February 27, 2007 03:19 PM

Oh if you only knew pup Don like I do! Your 'monkey' comment could be so off the mark sometimes! (LOL)
*Hint: check his bed for monkeys!

Great show as always gang! SAL-E, doing a dog theme? Get yourself some "barkers" beauties! ;)

Love-n-kink,
Buzz

I grew up a cat person, but I'm thankful that FoF has gone to the dogs; at least for this one show.

I used to live in the Philippines where people eat dogs. Once my neighbor's dog had puppies and all the neighborhood kids gathered around and were looking at, and playing with the puppies. They were really cute and I thought the kids were gathered around them for that reason. But when I got closer all the kids were saying the Visayan word for 'delicious' and talking about how good they will taste.

In Taiwan they eat dogs as well and a few years ago I had my dog stolen. Later some dog stealers that were stealing the dogs from my neighborhood were arrested. They were selling the stolen dogs to restaurants. In Asia people think the best dogs to eat are the black ones.

Thanks for the shout out.

I think Sal-E should do "Hiding Underneath" by Cassandra Kubinski. The song just BEGS to be done by a drag queen.

I'm voting for Jonathan Coulton's cover of Baby Got Back. It will be very unexpected and hilarious.
