FOF #442 - Latino Christmas - 12.08.06

Sal'e tips and ticks on how to survive the holiday season and how to best celebrate it, Mexican style. And you better check this one out!
The second half of the show gets taken over by what we thought would be a short phone call to Yayi, but then turned into this long conversation about an obscure bible quote, Yayi's breast augmentation surgery and her up and coming face-lift. Yayi is proud to say she's 61 years old and loving every minute of it.
We wanna wish you a merry Feast of Fools podcast.

¡Oye, que tu hermana es peligrosa, Fausto! Casi me meto en un accidente como tres veces hoy - por la risa.
'arroba' *is* the @ sign.
Loved hearing her on the show. Have her back some time.

Muy bien on a fun show guys! Good to hear Sal-E again!
By the way, my "buzzer" is actually a 100,000 volt stun gun. Naturally, it's for, um, my own protection (insert snicker here)... And trust me, I won't use it unless prompted to and most of the time it's on myself ...
Keepin it kinky in S. Cal,

Hey there!
Just a random question. I love the show and listen quite regularly while getting ready for work. I go to the website occasionally too, but constantly get caught up with a banner that pops up. It always blocks the description of the most recent show. I think I'm fairly internet savy...but for the life of me can't figure out how to get rid of the banner! Any suggestions?

Brenda,
I hate to break it to you but I think you are the victim of a virus. The Feast of Fools website does not have any pop up banners on their site. You should run an anti-virus program as well as a spyware removal program.
Good luck. :)

Brenda,
I think you are using a newer version of Internet Explorer. Try changing brwsers to Safari or Firefox or an older version of IE to fix the problem.

I think Marc's right. I've had that same problem since I upgraded to IE7.0.

Fausto has some crazy relatives, don't he? Yayi's right - many people born in the US don't think they need to learn to speak other languages, and yet people around the world know how important it is to do so. So, you Gringos who don't, get off yer haunches y aprendan otra lengua, cualquiera que sea!

Sale-E you tease, your Myspace says single!
Said by: Destroyer of Worlds at December 11, 2006 09:04 PM
Hilarious show, had me in stitches, had to keep rewinding so I could try to catch it all when there were all three or four speaking at the same time. Sounded like one of my family reunions, everyone hollering at once in both languages, with Bible quotes and cusses sprinkled in for good measure.
Buena suerte con la operación Yayi, seguro que vas a quedar divina!

We make Abuelita chocolate too, but no blender. Just boil the milk and toss in the hockey-puck of chocolate (you can snap the puck in half and use half the milk for 1-2 servings). Stir on low heat until the puck is dissolved. When my grandmother was alive, she also made bunelos, tamales, and flan. mmmmm Love this time of year!!!

Oh my god I love your sister Yayi!!! That was one of the funniest episodes you guys have ever recorded. She totally reminds me of my own funny hispanic family. Have her on again soon, maybe for Pride next year????!
