"Happy Kristallnacht"?! Fausto, that was definetly too much. I know, that you over the pond take the whole Nazi-thing easy. However, there is a limit to everything. What will come next? Celebrating the 5000th killed american soldier in Iraq? Or what about "Smashed Faggot - Yet another gay bashed! Get your martinis!"
Really, guys...

He didn't know, I'm sure. Which is why I explained it to him. Fausto, you were supposed to edit that part out!
Truth is, the sound of the word "kristallnacht" is very nice...such a pretty word for such a horrible event. Perhaps Fausto had it confused with "Stille Nacht."
I didn't know much about it til I went to the Holocaust Museum in DC. Wow. Talk about heavy.
Speaking of heavy and Nazis...earlier this week I saw a musical directed by an amazing friend of mine. She was hired to direct a musical performed exclusively by orthodox Jewish women. They're not allowed to perform in front of men, so only women and girls can get tickets.
This year's musical...wait for it..."The Sound of Music."
Orthodox Jewish women playing nuns...and Nazis. They wore the red armbands but no swasticas.
When those women came out as Nazis, the whole audience was STONE silent.
Nobody there taking the whole Nazi-thing easy, I promise you. There were probably Holocaust survivors right in the theater.
Okay, I need some chocolate now.
Love,
-AS

Amanda,
Nice response. I would suggest that that part be edited out - even if after the fact. "Kristallnacht" was one of the significant milestones of the descent into the horror that was Nazi Germany - and the joke taints an otherwise very very fun podcast. (1/2 Jewish here - family had to leave Austria). I don't say 'edit out' lightly - but this might be a good place for it. Gallows humor is tricky. Lord knows I've fallen flat with it often enough.
That aside - Amanda - you are so, so funny! Your Sappho was priceless, and your caroling was saintly. Love it when you are on the show.
Love ya, Dalek (or is that Dahlink?)
