FOF #430 - Freestyle Reality - 11.16.06

Openly gay swimmer and video producer Tyler Duckworth got the disapproval and sympathy for his aggressive behavior on MTV's REal World: Key West last spring.
Audiences loved to hate his confrontational nature of the TV show and it was all an act.
On today's show Tyler Wilson Duckworth (that's TWD for you hip folks) comes to talk about how orchestrated reality TV shows are and the consequences of being portrayed as a gay villain on TV.
Listen in as we explore the sexy and empowering side of gay athleticism, what you can do to get on MTV's Real World, tips on how gay men can seduce straight men and one simple thing you can do in the morning to lose weight.
For a sexy gay villain, Tyler's just full of good advice.
Check out the Tyler Duckworth photo gallery we made.
The podcast that not only looks good on your iPod, it sounds delicious- the Feast of Fools.

Arrrg, I hated that little prick. I stopped watching that season after 4 episodes cause I just could not take his bitchy altitude. I understand they edit stuff to make people worse than they are, but damn. Good interview thou, it's nice to listen to the other side of him.

Of all the times Fausto and Marc have asked guests those questions at the end of the interview, Tyler gets the PRIZE for the most interesting, the most creative, on-the-spot answers! MAY BE he got prepared before hand; anyway, this is the first time I've truly enjoyed hearing the responses.

Congratulations on the Gay blogglies award.
About the show....
Tyler: Hi, I'm Tyler. I'm so amazing and smart, and I have a perfect body, and I'm hung, and I'm cool, but enough about me...let's talk about me.
Me: Yawn.
When can we have a good role model? No wonder this guy is single; there is barely enough room in his life for his ego.

It's an interview, who else is he going to talk about? Christina Yamaguchi?
Said by: Marc at November 16, 2006 02:45 PM
I could go for some good Yamaguchi... do they serve Hamachi or Tekka Maki there too?

You can't please all the people all the time but the one thing that I love about the Feast of Fools is that even if you don't care for the guest or are ambivalent towards them, there is always a reason to tune in. Fausto and Marc, you always have a way of bringing the best out of your guests.
On the subject of reshaping your body, I have recently started working out at a gym. For those of you I was lucky to meet at the LA Meet n Greet, you know I'm not exactly a Chihuahua (more like a St. Bernard), and I was lucky enough to have a friend who's been willing to train me in the gym. So the other day we were both admiring this hulky bodybuilder and I made the comment that he had really tiny ankles and it looked odd to me. My friend pointed out that this man's natural body form is thin. Picturing this man as having been a tall, skinny, lanky teen who now has more muscle on his bicep that I currently have on my whole body made me realize that you can become anything you want to become. I've always had a belly and have always been heavy, and honestly thought that I could never be anything but. Am I unattractive? No. Am I less of a person because of my shape? No. I'm happy with being who I am, but after being this size all my life I felt it's time for something new. Plus, for health reasons, I needed to be more active. I started to realize that if I end up in the hospital with heart disease I'll never forgive myself because it will have been my own fault.
So for all of you who don't feel that you can change, yes you can. You just have to decide to do it. And for those of you who are happy with being a "bear" or a "BBW - Big Beautiful Woman" or a "BMW" (and if you don't know what that is, shame on you, go back to the show archives and get yourself caught up!), that is wonderful. You are a beautiful person no matter what your shape or size, but please get a little exercise in there just so you can be healthy. You don't have to starve yourself or spend hours in the gym, a nice brisk walk three or four times a week will do your heart wonders.
Thanks again for a great show, guys. FOF just gets better and better.
With much love (and puppy treats),
Pup Don
p.s. - Special shout out to Buzz - Have a great time on your trip to Europe, buddy. I'll miss the shit out of you 'till you come home. :)

Okay, I just heard the part where you told Tyler to pose for porn and then sue the company so they won't show the pics.
(crosses arms and taps paw)
I forgive you this time (since I don't work for that particular porn company) but next time you better watch out, Mister. When I fly to Chicago next year for IML I'll give you such a bite on the ankle.
(tee hee, you know I'm just playin')

That was just a joke Pup- but I take it from your comment that it happens a LOT more often than anyone would think so.

hmmm... the guy is hot... perhaps it's the arrogance or just his photos...
but ah well, at least he seems like he knows what he's talking about.
good interview, as usual. xx

I don't know why you guys are saying he's arrogant, lol. Personally Jim Verraros came across a little more conceited than Tyler.
