FOF #415 - Death Becomes Them - 10.25.06

Podcast
Who knew that men who work in Mortuaries were so hot?
Kamm Cares, a non-profit breast cancer survivor group recently came up with a macabre yet titillating hunk calendar of real sexy men who work in mortuaries.

One of the captions for Mr. August (David Fisch) reads "After discussing it with his mother, David felt that the calendar was a great idea. His aunt had breast cancer, and he felt that this would be a great way to help. [Besides being a full time mortuary director] His hobbies include weight-lifting and bodybuilding."

Pictured to the right is a part of the cover of the calendar that has David along with eleven other men looking quite dashing, posing with a funeral casket, shovels and ropes lowering what is presumed to be the recently deceased into the ground.

If I wasn't so against cemeteries as enormous wastes of land, I would SO want a dozen hunks lowering me to the ground when my time was up! Click here to buy your Men of Mortuaries Calendar 2007.

Listen to today's show as our good friend Matt Simonette joins my husband Marc Felion and me, your true blue pal Fausto Fernós to talk about the new Russian Vodka museum, the consideration of the Dutch government hiring sex workers as "entertainment" for men in the battlefield (I guess they assume all women in the military are lesbians) and tough talk on net neutrality, and why you should vote Democrat in this next election.

The podcast that is just dying to entertain you- the Feast of Fools.

An 'MP' is a Member of Parliament ... as you said: like a member of congress.

Get those hookers on the move.

The terms 'cuernudo' (horned) or 'pegarle cuernos' (hit someone with horns) refer a very old expression in Spanish meaning the wife is cuckolding the husband - i.e, being unfaithful to him, which of course was highly embarrassing to the man, causing some of them to kill the wife. So to me, it's so funny seeing University of Texas fans make a 'horn' sign with their fingers , in support of 'the team'.
AND those ocean sounds Marc's mom says she used to hear on the phone in the 50's - I heard these sounds too. My understanding is that it was caused by the cable movement under water - but that wouldn't make 'wave' sounds' either. I'm sure there is some scientific explanation...

It's so good to have you back Marc, we all missed you, when your not there it's like Mary without Rhoda, or Laverne Without Shirley, you two are so suited for each other; you two balance each other out so well. Keep up the love, learning and laughs. Rainbow kisses

Hey, gang!

Welcome back, Marc! Fausto and gang did a bang-up job while you were away, but you were definitely missed!

The "waves" sound on the phone in the old days is a result of interference on the line -- really just static rising and ebbing. It sounds much more romantic to say "I can hear the ocean between us," than to say "this connection SUCKS!"

Love the show. Looking forward to getting my t-shirt!

Hugs from San Francisco!

yo...loving the show....of course I listena day lay, and a MP is a A Member of Parliament, a representative elected by the voters to a parliament. In many countries the term applies specifically to members of the lower house, as upper houses often have a unique title, such as Senate, and thus also have unique titles for its members, such as "Senators." Members of parliament tend to form parliamentary parties with members of the same political party.

...I know. you soo needed to know.
