FOF #404 - Have You Too Been To Japan? - 10.10.06

Have you been to Japan? Our lovely friend Jordan Hochstetler is living there as an exchange student, surrounding himself with Japanese people, learning the culture and the language. And he's gay. And out. So we asked Jordan to put together some audio clips of him talking about his gay experiences in Japan, but the audio quality left much to be deserved, so we kind of kidding around with his audio materials.
Dive into our special blue brand of comedy as we talk about the violent side of Buju Banton's music, why we think he's full of bull to go around saying he doesn't hate gays (no, he just writes songs about killing them and was aquitted of the charges due to his celebrity status.) More flap on Mark Foley, do bisexual men really exsist, why people have hang ups about sex and how Asian culture is changing.

I've always thought that the label of bisexual for people who have sex with both sexes was wrong. I've just always called them whores. :)

Fausto's Quote of the Day:
"Ok, we gotta end the show fast before the cops come busting down the door."

In reference to the "loudness" of the FOF M&G: IT'S - A - BAR!! Of course there's going to be noise and loud talking! What bar in this country IS quiet (unless it happens to be one for the deaf)? Not like you guys were at the Pantages or Shrine Auditorium and there were tickets sold.
Sal-E as Darth Maul?! I'm laughing!

I think those kids think Fausto is a Disney character especially with that blue hair! Sal-E, I hope you didn't get any green tea on your kimono. Geisha should know how to pour tea without spilling it.

How I wish I could have been with all of you in WeHo! Ever since our gathering in NYC, I've been trying to show up at another meet-and-greet. Someday perhaps it will happen.
Today featured another fabulous show, Fausto. Funny to hear those stories about Japan, but I was hoping for maybe some examples of Engrish (that accent with which asians speak English which makes their l's sound like r's and vice-versa. For example, "fabulous flaming blue pal" would be pronounced "faburous framing brue par". Might that be a recurring feature on the show? The gay news from Japan, similar to the news from Europe we used to hear.
On another note, Fausto, I wanna clear up the definition of π (pi). I know that your sister is a big math geek, so I'm sure she'll appreciate the clarification for all the listeners. π is defined as the ratio of the radius of a circle to a circumference (you said diameter instead of circumference).
Have a good day. Can't wait for tomorrow's podcast.

Thanks Milton! When I was listening to the show I caught my error too... (blush) where is math whiz sister Talia when you need her?

OK, Milton, now I don't feel so stupid... thanks for the clarification, because I was REALLY confused at Fausto's explanation - no wonder Sal-E didn't get it...
Fausto, last weekend I heard on Latino USA that Coco Fusco has done another 'performance'. She gathered together a few women and they voluntarily went to a torture camp to see if they could beat the torturers at their game... She probably has it up on the web.

i wanna hear more about the japanese experience because just love hearing about hearing about crazy japanese antics... and get it right! if there were any China chinese listeners (because there is a difference), being mistaken for Japanese is really bad... like still real bad...

much love
