FOF #380 - You So Old - 09.01.06

Podcast
They say it's your birthday John.
We begin today's show with a barrage of 90% mostly original "you so old" jokes aimed at one of our most dedicated listeners John Marcotte who turns 100 today (not really.) Happy Birthday!

John and his partner Mike Hipp were one of our first listeners to our show and have listened to it every single day since the day we began.

Listen to today's show for the spicy details of Sal-E's trip to Saugatuck, Jackie Mason's lawsuit against Jews for Jesus (go Jackie!) Barbie's new poop scoop, a Chinese woman's car-driving dog and how a woman's breast implants saved her life.

Pictured to the right is a tasty cake in the shape of the Feast of Fools logo done by the talented Mr.Keithcakes.com This beautiful blue construction of confectionary delights was served at our one year anniversary Meet N Greet party on February 2006. I lovvvved that cake! You have no idea how much I loved that cake.

You so old, you're older than the number of shows the Feast of Fools podcast has done.

FOF #379 - When Hal Met Fred - 08.31.06

Podcast
Why do male computer voices sound gay?
Is it their nasal superiority, their stoicism, or their crazy synthesized lisps that make them so?

On today's show Marc and I recreate two of the most famous computer voices- "Hal" from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey and "Fred," Apple Computers MacInTalk Speech synthesized voice. We hook them up online with HILARIOUS RESULTS.

See our podcast really will make your iPod go gay.

Listen to the internet's favorite gay couple as we talk about how computers are being used to write jokes for children (they aren't that funny so don't get too excited), guys with two cocks, genetic pre-dispositions to surviving plagues, and whale vomit (and why it's so valuable.)

Whale vomit? Eeeew. Yes whale vomit.

The podcast that makes your iPod go gay (but from the looks of your playlist, it already was) the Feast of Fools.

FOF #377 - Does Religion Make You Fat? - 08.29.06

Podcast
So many American religious practices
center around food that a study suggests they may promote unhealthy eating habits and gluttony- some of the very same things the proposed religions shun.

On today's show the lovable Amanda Steinstein joins me to dig our heels in deep into American religions and who, how and why so many of them just love to eat.

Just where can I join these delicious sounding churches? I wouldn't be so against going to mass on Sundays if there was free rotisserie chickens being passed out.

Maybe the problem with organized religion isn't corruption or hypocrisy, its that they don't pass out wet naps with the bbq chicken and corn on the cob!

Eat until you get your fill of fabulousness- the Feast of Fools.

FOF #376 - Painting the Goddess Within - 08.28.06

Podcast
Some gay men
are obsessed with strong female entertainers. So much in fact, that it gets in the way of developing healthy intimate relationships with other men, the men they sexually desire in the end.

Whats up with that? Why do gay men obsess with women like Diana Ross, Madonna, Eartha Kitt and Marilyn Monroe? Because it feels safe. Because we're obsessed with women because we're in many ways see them on a non-sexual level, but a romantic level still that

But I could be wrong. What do you think?

On today's show we talk to visual artist Robert Pogatetz about his paintings, women, art, and a new book "Marilyn in Art" a collection of visual representations of the late Hollywood Legend Marilyn Monroe. Buy it on Amazon.

FOF #375 - Cracking the Nut - 08.25.06

Podcast
Performance artist Brian Lobel
was a virgin when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. The cancer had spread into his abdomen and into his lungs. Although you may think he was a gonner, everyone told him "you'll survive this."

And survive he did. Brian kept a journal of his experience with cancer and in college his teacher Holly Hughes suggested he turn his writing into a one man show.

According to Brian's website:
"BALL is a solo performance about the perception of illness, struggle and survivorship in society today. Far from the world of yellow bracelets and pink ribbons, BALL is the story of a young man and his quirky and unique struggle against cancer and, more importantly, the Lance Armstrong-dominated cancer narrative. This is not your mother's illness drama - BALL sees all of the disgusting parts of cancer not as things which should be changed into things beautiful or inspirational. Instead, the sperm bank, the catheters, and the hair loss take center stage in all their glory, in a manner which is irreverent, honest, and, ultimately, healing."

Got that? Good.

Listen to today's show as we talk to the sweet and jubilant Brian Lobel about cancer, the healthcare industry, Lance Armstrong, those annoying yellow bracelets, and how to cope when a loved one comes down with a life-threatening illness.

"Ball" shows at the Bailiwick theater in Chicago until August 26th. Mention the Feast of Fools podcast and they will give you the ROYAL treatment: $25 ticket for $10. We treat you right folks!

We begin today's show with a quick and easy testicular cancer exam your can perform on yourself while you listen to the show.

The podcast that knows how to have a good time, you could say, we're having a ball- the Feast of Fools.

FOF #374 - Don't Sell Me No Crazy - 08.24.06

Podcast
Madge is nuts.
I know what you're thinking... so what's new? Nuclear waste, that's what's new!

What you talking 'bout Fausto? The the former material girl turned British Jewish Mystic has been hard at work lobbying 9 3/4 Downing Street and raising awareness for the scourge of nuclear waste.

"I mean, one of the biggest problems that exists right now in the world is nuclear waste... That's something I've been involved with for a while with a group of scientists - finding a way to neutralize radiation."

Does this mean we'll be seeing Aunt Esther sporting a lab coat and protective goggles during her next concert tour? Just HOW does she propose dealing with nuclear waste? Why using Kabbalah branded holy water of course! I guess Kabbalah Snake oil is next. You can even buy the stuff on Amazon. (Check out the ZShops there.)

We all appreciate Madonna's desires to make the world a better place, we recommend the RADIOACTIVE material girl buy up all the copies of her last film "Swept Away" and figure out how not to put them into the nations landfills. Talk about a biohazard.

Sell us your movies, sell us your music, hell even sell us your children's books, but please don't sell us that kind of crazy.

FOF #373 - Osama Bin Ronnie - 08.23.06

Podcast
Whitney Houston,
YOU have a problem! It seems Osama Bin Laden, America's Most Wanted wants to have a rendezvous with you. And Bobby better watch out.

According to Sudanese poet and novelist Kola Boof who writes in her new book "Diary of a Lost Girl" about being the terrorist's sex slave and his candid talk about Whitney Houston as "the most beautiful woman he had ever seen" even though he's also quoted for his dislike of black women as "only good for a man's lower pleasures."

Folks, we do NOT make this stuff up.

We think the U.S. government should recruit the divine Miss H as a secret weapon against terrorism, using her crack-fueled bad-ass self as the explosive.

On today's show the talented Miss Ronnie pontificates with Marc and myself about Whitney Houston's most undesirable admirer, Tom Cruise losing his job at Paramount Pictures, and why Germans think red heads have more sex.

FOF #372 - A Whole Lotta LotSix - 08.22.06

Podcast
"You Are!"
Screamed multimedia rock star LotSix when she read a spicy story about TV sitcom star Sara Gilbert's backstage lesbian kiss in the gossip pages of Lesbian Deneuve magazine.

Her intrigue was so intense that she wrote a song about it, "You Are." Performing against some delicious low-tech 80's sounds she croons about Gilbert's love affairs up against a rich multimedia background of tabloid images of Sara Gilbert, Nancy McKeon and Drew Barrymore.

Nowadays LotSix travels across the good U.S. of A. on her motorcycle spreading her own brand of lovely lesbian gospel one music venue at a time.

Listen to the Feast of Fools podcast as LotSix sings LIVE in the house her songs and we talk in depth about Lesbian gangs from New Jersey, transexual pirates, lying about losing your virginity and how lesbian culture is changing.

FOF #371 - Texas Roundup - 08.21.06

Podcast
Live from Austin, Texas it's the Feast of Fools!
Folks we braved the heat and the chiggers and faced the legions of FOF-fanatics as they came in droves from all over the southern states to meet us face to face!

Photographed to the right is the audience at the event trying to imitate the Zuiikin Gals from the odd Japanese exercise video on YouTube. Stay tuned later this week for more photos from the event.

Listen to today's show as we answer the tough questions our fans posed for us: What would you be doing if you still lived in your hometown? Who have you slept with? Why do you keep your clothes on if Texas is so hot?

You know, the stuff tabloids would publish if we were more macro-celebrities instead of micro-celebrities. Although the tide is turning. When we went out to gay bars, we must have run into at least TEN (count them TEN!) die-hard fans who simply couldn't get out of work to attend the event.

Many thanks to my mom Patricia, César Torres, all the people who showed up, as well as the good folks at the Spider House Cafe who hosted our event and to the sexy young duo known as "Brigante" who played the gypsy music to introduce our show.

Come on down and help yourself to a heapin' helping of the Feast of Fools podcast!

FOF #370 - Sex is Something Else - 08.18.06

Podcast
Folks, we are in Texas,
and we are feeling the heat! Marc is sweating buckets, César is nervous that the minutemen are going to shoot at him, and Fausto is just plain anxious that people WILL remember his infamous cable access show from the mid 90's, "El Chow De Faustina."

We are all busy getting ready for our "Texas Roundup" our Meet & Greet thats happening tonight at the Spider House in Austin, Texas. The fun starts at 8pm and lets just say, its a show you wont be forgetting anytime soon. Don't miss it!

On today's show listen as our sexi-mexi pal César Torres joins Marc and I (Fausto) to walk around Guadalupe Street in Austin Texas, otherwise known as the "Drag" because of the drag races college kids had in the 1960's. We'll be talking to a very sexy homeless youth named Cliff who shares with us some insights on what it's like to be a homeless young person, intolerance in your own family and culture in the city that gave now President George W Bush his first political job as Governor of Texas.

Sorry folks, our internet connection here is pitiful thanks to the lack of Net Neutrality laws. More fab pics coming over the weekend!

For Immediate Release: Feast of Fools podcast wins People’s Choice Award.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

feastoffools[at]gmail.net • www.feastoffools.net • www.podcastawards.com

CHICAGO, IL (August 15) – Feast of Fools podcast makes history as the first gay themed podcast to win the People's Choice Podcast Award.

This year marks the first time any gay themed podcast has won the award in its own GLBT category. Over 7.9 million votes were submitted making this year the most contested and anticipated for the awards.

Over the 15 day period from the 1st to the 15th of July, 3,285 shows were nominated from a submission pool of 875,000 nominations. A team of volunteers reviewed, listened and graded over 500 podcast sites and shows in order to determine the final voting slate. Recognized were the top five shows in 22 categories for a total of 110 shows representing a very diverse range of subjects. New categories for this year included Best Podcast Directory, Best Mobile Podcast and Best GLBT Podcast.

Fausto Fernós and his partner Marc Felion spearheaded the podcasting revolution in February 2005 with their comedy talk show, the Feast of Fools. As the first gay couple in history to produce a podcast, along with their ensemble of on-air personalities, the show's irreverent look at odd news and cultural trends defined the podcast talk show genre and continues to rank on top of the charts as one of the most popular programs available online.

The Feast of Fools podcast holds the proud distinction of winning the 2006 People's Choice Podcast Award and having the distinction of being the only GLBT podcast recognized by Apple Computer as a "pioneering show that helped bring podcasts from an underground movement to a mainstream phenomenon."

Some of the show's past celebrity guests have included: filmmaker John Waters, actress Teri Garr, comedian Kathy Griffin, drag legend Lady Bunny, and Star Trek legend George Takei.

Every show is downloaded on the range of 6000-8000 times a month, with an average weekly distribution of 30,000 downloads. As a result, The Feast of Fools podcast is the most popular comedy podcast coming out of Chicago. No other gay-themed podcast has more listeners.

A real-life gay couple, Fernós and Felion bring light to many serious issues not brought up in mainstream media, but within the gay community itself. Bringing a sense of humor to their daily discussion on odd news and social trends they connect on a deep and personal level with their listeners five days a week.

Cocktail: Patricia

This was made in honor of my mom whose house we're staying at this week. The "Patricia" is much like a Margarita but is made with white grape juice, whose subtle but delicious grape flavor comes through with the help of some lime.

2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz brandy
1 cup of white grape juice
1/4 cup of fresh squeezed lime juice (juice of one lime)

Shake until the shaker goes cloudy, serve into tall glasses mixed with soda water and lots of crushed ice.

Lots of talk about telecommunications companies in disguise as "Internet Freedom" groups, why Joe Liberman is a Republican after all, Indian government's ban on soft drinks sold at schools, and new scams that you probably didn't know about.

FOF #367 - The Color Lesbian - 08.15.06

Podcast
Mekole Wells wants
to get into Oprah Winfrey's The Color Purple musical here in Chicago BAD. We here at the FOF think MK would be a fabulous Shug Avery screaming out "You Sure is Ugly."

What is your favorite line from "The Color Purple" film?

Mekole Wells began her carreer (like most divas) singing in Church. In the 1980's Mekole under the name "Eleesa" hit the billboard charts with her dance hit "Where Did Your Love Go."

In 1998 Mekole was stabbed 10 times in a vicious attack her throat was cut she was told she would probably never be able to sing again, but through love, strength and sheer will she now stands as one of Chicago's greatest onstage signing women.

An out and proud lesbian you can find Mekole singing weekly in"Menopause the Musical" at the Apollo Theater in Chicago, Illinois.

Join Mekole and our good friend Gregg Shapiro as we dish the dirt on Chicago's music scene, lesbian music, menopause, the Gay Games, and why Mekole wants to be cast in "The Color Purple" musical.

Oprah are you listening?

FOF #366 - From Here to Insanity - 08.14.06

Podcast
Having worked extensively
with the at-risk children, the mentally disturbed and the incarcerated has given life coach G. Scott Graham more than adequate experience in dealing with us.

On today's show Fausto and Marc travel deep into their own inner psyche and relationship as they asses with the DiSC method who they are, what their relationship is all about, and how they (I mean we) can communicate better.

It's fair to say that having the thoughtful presences of Dr. Scott probing deep into our personalities and personas made us a little nervous. More giddy than daffy duck on a double expresso, we took the time to think about the questions: "If you were an adjective, what kind of adjective would you be?" "Is Fausto more acitve or thoughful in the relationship?" "What the hell are these guys talking about?"

Special thanks to G. Scott Graham for taking the time to come to Chicago and help us learn more about ourselves and our relationship!

FOF #365 - Quarter Turns for Everyone! - 08.11.06

Podcast
Just WHAT does the exultant phrase "Quarter Turns" mean?
Boy do we get that question a lot.

Earlier this year in January, American Idol finalist Clay Aiken's squeaky clean image had a bit of a tarnish when the National Enquirer printed the "sordid" details of his one night stand with North Carolinian real estate agent John Paulus.

A lot of people in the past have declared flamboyant male singers to be gay, even having affairs with them, and in turn have had themselves taken to court. So why didn't Clay Aiken or his record label sue him? Because John Paulus had inadvertently saved the cum rag.

Yes folks, this former green beret had accidentally pulled a "Lewinsky" and had DNA evidence of his love affair with Mr. Aiken.

According to John Paulus, during their one night stand Clay demanded that John do "Quarter Turns," spin around while sitting on his member so he could feel "every one of his walls."

I don't think that I could possibly do that, or anyone else, but you have to give these guys credit for their enthusiasm! Clay never returned John's calls and was not exactly the nicest person you'd want to have an affair in a hotel room with.

Hell hath no fury like a scorned lover, and after weeks of not getting any response from Aiken, in his anger John picked up the phone and called the tabloids to spill the beans on their affair.

On our show months ago we reenacted the transcript of what may have happened that night in the hotel room. It was so popular and charming that Mr. John Paulus himself sent us an email wanting to be on the show to tell his whole side of the story.

Listen to today's show as we talk to Mr. "Quarter Turns" himself John Paulus about how his life has been since he came public with the news, how the "Claymates" (Clay AIkens' fanatic female fans) have sent him naked pictures of thier naked old bodies in order to harass him, how they got him fired from his last job, and what would John say to Clay if he were sitting in front of him today.

UPDATE: If you want to read the anger and fury that John Paulus story has stirred in Clay Aiken's fans, be sure to visit his blog ClayAkien411. If this is the level of violent language that is being directed at someone who had sex with a closeted gay pop star and has DNA evidence to back up his words, imagine what it would be like for Clay Aiken if he actually chose to come out. Maybe Clay is scared. I would be.

Every time you say "Quarter Turns" an angel downloads the Feast of Fools podcast into their iPod.

Recipie: Pollo Al Carbón

I can't live without my "Pollo Al Carbón," which means charcoal-grilled chicken. This is good stuff, people. Here's my personal favorite way to cook fresh organic chicken:

1 whole chicken, cut into quarters
1 teaspoon of sea salt (to taste)
1 teaspoon of fresh ground black pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of ground annatto seed
1/4 teaspoon of tumeric
1 teaspoon of ground oregano
2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
the juice of 1 whole bitter orange (an unripened orange) or a tangerine

FOF #363 - Lance A Lot - 08.09.06

Podcast
Whoa, it looks like there is trouble in paradise.
Our newly self-outed homosexual, former teen pop idol and wannabe cosmonaut Lance Bass is having problems with Reichen, or so they say.

But we have the real scoop here on the Feast of Fools! One of our listeners works for a big talent agency in Los Angeles and managed to get this exclusive audio footage of Lance Bass begging and pleading with his manager to stay in his relationship with Reichen Lehmkuhl.

It seems Lance was supposed to lose 15 pounds as part of the contract, and he didn't. So now he has to break up with Reichen and date Joey Fatone. Poor Lance!

Listen to today's show as we talk about Auntie Esther at the Cochella Music festival (thanks Steve!), square-shaped fruit and podcasters getting robbed at gunpoint. And by podcasters we mean radio DJ's... and by fruit we mean gay men.

The podcast that is served fresh, hot and delicious every single weekday -- the Feast of Fools.

FOF #362 - What Happen'? - 08.08.06

Podcast
Wha Happen'?
Well, Sal-E says that a lotof Hispanic people say "What Happen'?" when they want to jump into a conversations that they aren't a part of. You seem to hear that a lot on this show for some reason... Wha happen'? Quiet, you! See what I mean?

On today's show our nightclub performer in residence Sal-E comes over to recap the Market Days Weekend fun, Janet Jackson's new nudie pics, smacking your lips, bar fights in China and why George Michael doesn't really care what you think about him, especially if you're a heterosexual woman.

I wonder what he thinks gay men think about him?

Warning: Listenting to the Feast of Fools podcast could get you arrested for being sexy!

Check out these wonderful pictures taken this past weekend at Chicago's largest outdoor street fair, Northalsted Street Market Days.

Please take a moment and go to their website to tell them what you think of it.

Thanks to Jeff Schwister for writing such a great story and Mary Beth Nolan for taking such equally great photos.

FOF #361 - Be Careful What You Wish For - 08.07.06

Podcast
What did you do this weekend?
We here at the Feast of Fools spent it at Northalsted Street Market Days, the largest outdoor street fair in Chicago, hanging outdoors, drinking some beer, eating some fried funnel cakes and checking out some seriously hot guys.

The Feast of Fools was out in full force spreading the our special brand of blue beauty one person at a time. Miss Ronnie, Amanda Steinstein, Sal-E, César Torres, Marc Felion and myself, Fausto Fernós were all out there working it hard and heavy giving lots of cards, hugs and kisses to the good people of the world.

We love our fans, and they love us! It kind of makes you feel all warm inside, but not in the way you feel when you've had too much to drink and you pee all over yourself.

Check out the fabulous pics we took.

Thanks to all the people we met who have been voting for our show every day. Without you we are nothing. (Now's a good time to go vote for the show to win us that highly coveted People's Choice Award.)

Listen to todays show as Miss Ronnie gets exactly what she deserves. What are we talking about? You'll just have to listen and find out.

It seems some German scientist has made a "stupid pill." I think the name is stupid, because the purpose of the pill really isn't to wipe out ignorance or force people to stop making bad decisions. It's function hopefully is to increase people's ability to think clearly. Is this like drinking a cup of coffee?

Also: lover's suicide pacts, prehistoric metrosexuals, and new ways of finding out you got canned.

Put some home-cooked hilariousness in your iPod with the Feast of Fools.

FOF #360 - Like Normal People - 08.04.06

Podcast
This show is all backwards.
We begin with the ending, and end with the beginning. So don't get confused.

A huge argument stars with Amanda Steinstein over which celebrities have played the mentally disabled in movies. Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Billy Bob Thorton, Rosie O'Donnell, Cindy Williams- note the trend? Maybe they aren't acting.

The search online for answers makes us all painfully aware on how difficult it still is to find accurate information, even with wikipedia, google, yahoo, imdb, and even on this show.

The highly debatable Wikipedia has been under the harsh glare of comedians this past week as both the Onion and the Colbert Report both attacked the open source dictionary for it's sometimes overwhelming inaccuracies. Although Amanda and I both agree that Wikipeida can be a mess, it still very accurate (consider that the Encyclopedia Britannica is wrong as well)

Well at least they have spell checking. We dunt.

This whole debate draws attention to the fact that facts are usually determined by the people who state them, and can be wrong. Who fact checks the fact checkers?

Also on today's show, science vs. republicans, living in the bronze age, and new hi-tech eggs that come fresh from the chicken's butt to your mouth!

Pictured on the right is Marc Felion and myself, Fausto Fernós having a grand old time with the postcards. Who took the photo? Jason Smith, of course.

Warning- do not operate heavy machinery while listening to the Feast of Fools podcast. The results could be hilarious!

FOF #359 - Fat Carries Flavor - 08.03.06

Podcast
After spending a week with the gay invasion otherwise known as the Gay Games,
the big bold and beautiful Amanda Steinstein is exhausted and fed up with all things gay. To add to her homo-saturation, she recently was an understudy with the local gay comedy troupe GayCo, and she pent many days painting rainbows on people's faces.

We're so deeply touched by an injured Philippine listener Mikey D., who designed a lovely letter about the FOF keeps him company during his recovery process. "I really love your show. when you gotta have your Feast of Fools, you gotta have your Feast of Fools." Isn't the whole thing beautiful? I'm holding back little blue tears. Seriously.

Also on today's show, we talk not so much about gay topics and news, but a lot about fat and fatness. We discuss why obese and overweight people are unrealistic about their diets, why Americans are not the only people who struggle with their weight, and why you're probably fat yourself, but you just don't know it.

Pictured to the right is a lovely montage of Ronnie, Marc, Amanda, Fausto, Sal-E and Cesar all dolled up to look like pansies. It makes a great desktop background.

Is it me, or is it hot in here?

If fat carries flavor, you're listening to the tastiest podcast in the whole wide world: the Feast of Fools.

FOF #358 - Flying Coach - 08.02.06

Podcast
Miss Ronnie can't shut up about wanting a Coach purse.
You may recall from yesterday's show that Ronnie got all jealous and upset when four women walkde in (in a two hour period ) all holding the exact same purse. Teasing her.

Please, people. Ronnie has champagne tastes but a beer bottle budget. Help out! Pictured on the right is the FOF's very own Miss Ronnie holding some Republican sausage in one hand, and a Coach bag in the other. She already has plenty of sausage...

If you can arrange to send Miss Ronnie a Coach purse, or even a gift certificate for one, she would be on cloud nine and would finally shut up about wanting this irrationally expensive handbag.

Our fab pal Rick Aiello came by to share with us some homemade spaghetti and meatballs he made just for us, and let me tell you: It was simply delicious! Thanks Rick. But of course Ronnie ate too many carbs before the show and look out because without a Coach purse, Ronnie was an unholy terror!

Listen as we talk about Mo'Nique's airplane rage, Mel Gibson's drunken road rage, and Barbara Walters' show rage. Which celebrity would you want to get drunk with?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Feast of Fools podcast? The world will never know.

TOP RATED COMEDY PODCAST VISITS THE LONE STAR STATE
Former Austin Cable Access celebrity Fausto Fernós comes back Austin, Texas to meet the fans of the Feast of Fools podcast.

Austin, TX (August 1st) – Giving back to their fans Feast of Fools hosts Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion bring their top rated comedy show to the college town of host Fausto Fernós. “Going back to my roots and giving back to the community that gave me my start is important not only to me, but to the show our fans have made our show so successful, “says Fernós.

The Feast of Fools hits the road with their band of friends, and takes their top rated comedy podcast on the road. Fernós says, “We want to take every opportunity to get out and meet those individuals who have made Feast of Fools the success it is.”

In 1995 the Austin Chronicle picked “El Chow De Faustina” as Best Cable Access Show. The newspaper featured Fausto Fernós as a cartoon in drag on the cover with former Texas governor Ann Richards.

The popular cable access television show gave Fernós the drive to continue entertaining the masses in Chicago. The radioactive-blue haired Fernós along with his boyfriend Marc Felion produce a new episode of Feast of Fools five days a week and launch on iTunes and their website feastoffools.net to and adoring international fan base of over a million listeners since they began the podcast in February 2005.

Come out and meet Fausto Fernós and Marc Felion in person, along with Fernós’ real life mother Patricia Fernós, the Reverend DJ, César Torres, and other regular show personalities. Every show is downloaded on the range of 4000-9000 times a month, with an average weekly distribution of 50,000 unique downloads. As a result, The Feast of Fools podcast ranks as Chicago's #1 independently produced comedy podcast and consistently ranks higher in the iTunes Top 100 than such notable personalities as Howard Stern and even the President of the United States.

Every weekday the Feast of Fools posts a brand new show. Fernós and Felion act as anchors to their incredible, but real, menagerie of friends. The Feast of Fools manages to attract an impressive array of eccentric celebrities like: John Waters, Kathy Griffin, Teri Garr, Dee Snider and Margaret Cho.

Fernós and Felion bring light to many serious issues not only in mainstream media, but within the gay community. Through laughter and an ever witty sense of humor they discuss current news, trends, and issues within minority culture. The show's ability to connect with each and every listener has made it the success that it currently is.

FOF #357 - Arnold Palmer - 08.01.06

Podcast
The surprisingly delicious combination of iced tea and lemonade is known as an Arnold Palmer,
named after a famous golfer from the 1950's who allegedly was one of his favorite drinks. We assume he didn't lace it with whiskey. Yeah, right.

And of course, it's ours too! The not-so-unusual combination of these two thirst quenchers bring up on today's show a discussion on the nature of hope vs. wishing, and what it means to different people.

Listen as we beat the heat of summer with Miss Ronnie and talk about polish men, gay republicans, Lance Bass, and a huge box of preserved meats we got from a listener in Texas.

The podcast that quenches your thrist for knowledge, fun, and satisfaction- the Feast of Fools.
