FOF #363 - Lance A Lot - 08.09.06

Podcast
Whoa, it looks like there is trouble in paradise.
Our newly self-outed homosexual, former teen pop idol and wannabe cosmonaut Lance Bass is having problems with Reichen, or so they say.

But we have the real scoop here on the Feast of Fools! One of our listeners works for a big talent agency in Los Angeles and managed to get this exclusive audio footage of Lance Bass begging and pleading with his manager to stay in his relationship with Reichen Lehmkuhl.

It seems Lance was supposed to lose 15 pounds as part of the contract, and he didn't. So now he has to break up with Reichen and date Joey Fatone. Poor Lance!

Listen to today's show as we talk about Auntie Esther at the Cochella Music festival (thanks Steve!), square-shaped fruit and podcasters getting robbed at gunpoint. And by podcasters we mean radio DJ's... and by fruit we mean gay men.

The podcast that is served fresh, hot and delicious every single weekday -- the Feast of Fools.

Fausto, your advice on relationships is brilliant.
Grab life, grab love and be happy!

P.S. The you drive me crazy Madonna bit was the best in weeks!

Sense of humor is key in a relationship.
After 19 years my guy still makes me laugh.

Fausto's the bottom.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival was not in SFO, but rather Indio, CA (near Palm Springs). It's not particularly presigious... Madonna's performance was a rather last-minute surprise for fans...

If you do a victory speech, you should do it in Eva Parone style and video tape it.

Said by: Mike (DMCEx) at August 9, 2006 11:00 AM

That photo is fake! I can prove it.

Fausto, and everyone who is a world citizen. Here are facts that are scary as hell and will make you question everything. I saw this and felt that I had to post it here. I sincerely hope all of you watch this. It will change you.

It's a video about the events surrounding Sept. 11, 2001 stating that the events were orchestratated by the U.S. government.

Fausto, you do that dog barking and crying way too good. What's next, are we gonna see Marc leading you around on a collar and leash? LOL!

I loved the part where you comment you don't fuck ugly in reference to Karl Rove. Too funny!

Hey guys, apropos of the bit today about people caring more about war than peace, I wanted to let your listeners know about an initiative to create a cabinet-level department of peace. There are 75 co-sponsors in the House, though only 2 in the Senate. More info at http://www.thepeacealliance.org/.

Peace.

Square fruit - I think I read somewhere that the Japanese were the first to put fruit into boxes, so they save space, especially for watermelons... pictures of the fruit look really weird.
The Middle East - Israel was carved out by European powers from Palestinian grounds, so was virtually plopped into an area which had not been Jewish for many centuries. Although history cannot be turned back, it is important to remember the source of the problem, which really dates back to the Old Testament. The internet says: "Islam traces its lineage from Abraham through Ishmael and Judaism and Christianity trace their lineages through Isaac, Muslims, Jews, and Christians are all spiritual "children of Abraham." So, come to think of it, Jews and Muslims are like two siblings fighting over the love of some mystical father - who does He love the most? Who ever wins. Truth is, neither do...

ok, maybe i made a bit of a deal out of the video, but it scared the piss out of me.

Sorry, ya'll, for the double posting! I was busy listening to the show and got distracted...

Said by: Patricia Fernós at August 9, 2006 08:24 PM

Reid -- you did expose them!

You exposed the fact that at least one of them really knows his way around PhotoShop.

I'm very impressed. Nice job.

The idea of getting into fausto and Maec's minds with the help of a 'lifr coach' quite frankly scares me...lol.

Said by: Rochelle at August 10, 2006 02:15 AM

Rotch (and you thought I was gonna spell it Roach), You should be afraid, very afraid! Some of you will love it and some of you will be like "who the ef cares?"
We wouldn't air it if we thought it sucked so give it a listen. Most of you won't be surprised in the least bit. I know I wasn't, but that is not to say that I didn't learn.

Said by: Marc at August 10, 2006 03:08 AM

You guys had me laughing so hard at work when I was listening to the part when you combined Madonna and the Japanese exercise girls. I had to make some quick excuses!

Said by: O. at August 10, 2006 07:55 AM

I loved the intro sketch and the blooper. It's not "Quarter Turns" but "fugly" was good, nonetheless.

Also, there are worse things than being sentenced to dating Joey Fatone.

Said by: David at August 10, 2006 10:17 AM

I'm neither a Cher or Madonna gay. I'm a Kylie gay. We're probably the rarest kind of gays, lol.

I got to say 2 things about Lance.

1 – One member of N’SYNC down for to go.

2 – I am a little pissed that he came out on the cover of People. Shameless publicity, when a public figure comes out, the first interview should be on the Feast of Fools, then second a Gay publication (OUT, Advocate ext.). Then a main stream publication. Keep it in the community people!
