FOF #357 - Arnold Palmer - 08.01.06

The surprisingly delicious combination of iced tea and lemonade is known as an Arnold Palmer, named after a famous golfer from the 1950's who allegedly was one of his favorite drinks. We assume he didn't lace it with whiskey. Yeah, right.
And of course, it's ours too! The not-so-unusual combination of these two thirst quenchers bring up on today's show a discussion on the nature of hope vs. wishing, and what it means to different people.
Listen as we beat the heat of summer with Miss Ronnie and talk about polish men, gay republicans, Lance Bass, and a huge box of preserved meats we got from a listener in Texas.
The podcast that quenches your thrist for knowledge, fun, and satisfaction- the Feast of Fools.

John Landis directed "Trading Places" and Roger Moore is Agent 007--James Bond...Michael Moore is who you were thinking of.

I have not had a chance to finish listening to your show yet, but I just wanted to let everyone know that New York City is where it is at! Segourney is a regular at the wine shop I manage, and my ex was a manager of a Coach. Let me tell you...the girls all came running to me asking me to get bags at employee discount. Even the straight boys wanted bags for their girls. Now I am with someone even bigger at Kenneth Cole. Can you say 85% off Retail!!!
But I wish the Feast of Fools was out here.

There ya go talking about nutrition again, and you're right. Miss Ronnie is living proof!
My opinion is that the furthest away from nature you get, the furthest away from nature YOU GET!
Processed food is the worst.
Anyway, look at this news article. They have to teach refugees the dangers of fast food. This is in Chicago, so thought it'd be of interest.

Fausto,
Bay City is another city with a considerable Polish population. You should try to make it to the St. Stan's festival some time. The eye candy will be well worth the trip!

Feast of Fools is a pioneering comedy podcast! Feast of Fools should be in the comedy category in addition to the LGBT category.

It was fun to hear you rememembering your visit here to New York. What everyone wants to know is "When will you do it again?" (Don't do it in August, though, it's the worst month for New York!)
You're more patient with gay Republicans than I could ever be--cheers to you,
John Q
