Weekend Movie: Live Long Enough to Find the Right One
Everytime I see this movie, it makes me cry just a little bit.
In this French campaign for AIDS awareness a young man discovers his sexuality through different bad boyfriends, until he finds happiness at the end. Very sappy and touching at the same time. Fine work from Wilfred Brimo, who also directed the 2005 campaign in France.
Thanks to our lovely listener Shauna Carratini who turned us on to this!
In case you were wondering, here's the hetero/female version of the ad. You'll never see something like this on US television.

Awwww, that movie was very sweet. And it did make me get a little teary eyed. Except the part with the guy and the rubber gloves, he even made me scared! Oh, and I watched the one with the girl and she looked just like my friend Stephanie who lives on the East coast and I miss very much. I sent her the link and told her that I hope she ends up just like the girl in the movie, married to a John Stamos lookalike and living happily ever after.

I think the guy is cute but he has Golem's eyes from Lord of the Rings which freak me out. You see it especially when he is in bed with the first dude. How many guys have you met that covet their boyfriend like Golem's "My precious"

John Stamos is still cute and dreamy decades later. Come to me Blacky! My precious...

I just watched that first video and it is too cute for words. I watched the second video and it was really cute too, but I like the first one better because it's directed towards gay guys!! Anyways, coolness!

I loved these movies... both beautifully done and both get the message across without being "preachy" or too "hard-hitting". It's a shame that the US would never allow such things to be shown on TV. We're such prudes... no wonder we're so ignorant.

Awwww, very sweet...a bit stereotypical-ised though, don'tcha think? I was sure the girl was gonna turn out to be a lesbian...after all, she did wanna "play with the boys" rather than the girls...and the little boy with his doll... *gushes* he was CUTE (well, cute as far as cartoon characters go, anyways :) )

Can I vomit now? He ends up with a doctor? I guess the Americans aren't the only ones into their sickly sweet corn syrup.

Ahh, bless. That was great. Nice and cute but not too preachy and overly shocking. Awww.

That was an imaginative and hard hitting PSA, too
bad kissing a lot of toads can be deadly [even prince
for that matter] Being safe ALL THE TIME is key.
