FOF #312 - Robo Ronnie 3000 - 05.18.06

Podcast
Doing a comedy show based on the lives of real people means
that you don't always get to have them on the show whenever you want. As you may or may not know, Chicago's very own BMW (that's Big Mexican Woman for you ignunt folks) Miss Ronnie has been studying hard for finals and hasn't had the time to tape a show.

But that doesn't mean you can't get Ronnie whenever you want her! Our lovely listener Gary Caplehorne in the UK put together a fab assortment of audio clips dating back several months of hilarious "Ronnie-isms" to delight your ears, warm your heart and plain scare the living crap out of you. He has created a "Robo Ronnie 2006." It sounds kind of like Hal from "2001: A Space Odessey," but with a "Blaxican" (you figure it out) accent.

Listen to the show as we talk about one of our favorite new websites myscienceproject.org, poor people getting shafted by the electric company, the AIDS phone, and the unknown health benefits of radiation.

We also make apologies to Paul McCartney and his wife, Heather Mills McCartney, for their separation because of our "constant intrusion into [their] private lives" by outing Paul's amputee fetish. If you've seen "Hustler White" then you know what we are talking about.

Come see a live recording of the Feast of Fools podcast at the Apple Store, Saturday May 27th from 7-8pm! Best of all it's FREE.

Speaking of beans, a tip from my girlfriend's grandma:

Add a carrot to the pot when you boil the beans. As she says, "It takes the snaps out." (Snaps meaning farts, for those of us who are less refined.)

Throw the carrot away afterwards. Who knew? Another great use for carrots! (No, that's not what I mean, get your minds out of the gutter.)

Sorry folks, it was our 3rd party file measurement system getting the the way. :(

I took the code off and now everything seems to work.

Ahhh, it looks like I-Tunes is functioning again.

Re: Vegetarian Food

Miss Ronnie, try to find a Quizno's Subs shop and try their vegetarian sandwich. I like it better than Subway's veggie. They put some protabello mushrooms in there, whooo boy! You don't miss the meat.

Also, if you have a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant there, they have a veggie foccacia sandwich that comes with a cup of soup (get the tortilla soup) and it's deliciious!

I'm not a vegetarian, but these are some of my favorite things. If you're trying to be Vegan, you'll probably have to ask them to hold the cheese.

Love ya, girl! Hang in there!

Podcasts are so fragile, aren't they!?

In terms of finding a CURE for HIV, I don't think it will be happening any time soon. If you look back at all the other viruses out in the world, we've not come up with a cure for any of them (as far as I know). In terms of a vaccination I'm sure we will eventually, it'll just take some time. Congrats on your grades Ms. Ronnie!!

YAY for Miss Ronnie's return that made my day at work today, was grinning from ear to ear. Not that I don't love you guys, Marc and Fausto, but Miss Ronnie was definatly missed!

Great show and very interesting points brought up. I work for the health care industry and on one hand I wish we had universal healthcare like other countries, but on the other hand I'd be out of a job and that might not be so fun.

Hey ya'll, Great show.. Welcome back Ms. Ronnie.. miss hearing your voice.. Ryan is my Baby-daddy so Fausto step back... he like's chocolate...lol

Great to have Ronnie back on the show again! She had me laughing the whole time, which was a big help and got me to feeling better.

I do agree with the idea that a cure for AIDS will not be a priority for drug companies, because they are making FAR too much profit on maintenance drugs. I live for the day that humanity is valued over profitability. We don't need to lose any more people than we already have!

Great show as always, guys!

Is it OK that I started laughing so hard at the Robo-Ronnie that I started crying, and then I started really crying when we got the Real Ronnie?
Missed ya Babe ;D

Hands-down, THE best opening to a Feast of Fools show in recent memory. Welcome back Ronnie! I missed you honey. Congratulations on how well your classes have gone, and good luck with the future classes.

Now... on to serious stuff. I agree with Ronnie that a cure is on its way. It has to be. And I don't trust our pharmaceutical companies to find that cure. I agree that it will come from somewhere other than the US. And when it does, it will be interesting to see how quickly it will be available to the masses.

In the meantime, a positive mental attitude keeps me alive... as well as those gawd awful meds. But as bad as they are, they keep me, and Vicky, and Scott Free, and all of us inflicted with this virus, alive.

Love you guys... can't wait for next Saturday! :)
