FOF #279 - Gay For Play - 03.31.06
![]()

The world's most beautiful woman (on the internet) Victoria Lamarr joins us today to talk about the personal costs of being out and gay in any profession, but especially in showbusiness.
There are some folks who've done better because of the fact they are putting themselves "OUT" there (like us), but there are other entertainers who feel like their whole careers would come crashing down around them if they ever admittied their true feelings in public. Anyone come to mind? Two words: "quarter turns."
Some talk about how we couldnt remember Chris Klucsarits's name (he's the professional wrestler known as Chris Kanyon that recently came out as gay). You can read his ALL CAPITAL LETTER HEADLINE BLOG ON MYSPACE BY CLICKING HERE. I HOPE YOU ENJOY READING IT. HE IS GOOD AND FABULOUS AND COURAGEOUS AND WE HOPE HE DOES REALLY WELL. SINCE EVERYTHING HE SAYS IS IMPORTANT, EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE IN LARGE CAPITAL LETTERS.
Marc and Fausto tell Vmarr and the listener about their little excursion in downtown Chicago today. Marc found himself trying to reach Fausto at another store and the quickest way to get there was through the quad at The Moody Bible Institute. The experience of seeing these well scrubbed young men on the first nice day of spring prompts one to ask the eternal question, "Are they Christian or Gay?" We are pretty sure that we were being cruised or maybe they were just eyeing us up to save our soul. Either way it was still sexy.
In this fast paced show we discuss President Clinton's call for mandatory HIV testing in countries that have high rates of infection(twenty-seven percent in the country of Lesotho). We talk about a Muslim man that accidentally divorced his wife while he was asleep! We read some touching and delightful letters from listeners. We even have some time to do some shout outs-were you one of them?
The podcast that sometimes adheres to the rules of thermodynamics- the Feast of Fools.

FOF #278 - The Sensuous Mexican Woman - 03.30.06
![]()

This is what happens when you don't plan out your show. Today, Miss Ronnie, Marc and Fausto fly blind into the eye of the podcasting storm by playing some of their favorite music and talking about some of their favorite topics. Of course it all breaks down into a sexy discussion about playing music during sex and legendary comedians who talk about REAL sex. Maybe we should do this more often.
On todays show, lots of talk about divas we like, and divas we hate. How MTV and American Idol have done more to damage music than Michael Jackson's last album.
The Sensuous Black Woman was an album put out by Lady Reed (who also went by several pseudonyms "Queen Bee") who's listed on the credits of the album as "The Madam." Anyone familiar with her voice and work will attribute it to her. You can check her out on Rudy Ray Moore's films "Dolemite" and "Son of Dolemite."
Click on the extended entry for the liner notes of the album.
The fabulous flavored condoms we were tasting on todays show are from Trustex.

FOF #277 - Sassafraction Guaranteed - 03.29.06
![]()

We can't figure out if the Britney Spears "Pro-Life/Anti-Choice" statue is a fake or not. Either way, it's hilarious, fabulous, and freakish. Just the kind of thing we're always looking for to talk about on the podcast!
Here you have the perfect Feast of Fools news item- it combines trashy celebrities, politics, art and scandal into one delicious visual statement. Have you not heard? It seems some fanatical sculptor in New York City created this sculpture as the "first Pro-Life monument to birth." Or freaky naked trashy pregnant ladies. Your pick.
This monstrosity is showing at the Capla Kesting Fine Art gallery, 121 Roebling St in Brooklyn NY. We definitively plan on checking this one out when we go there in April.
On today's show Miss Ronnie joins us to talk trash about her trashy vegan lesbian customers she had to wait on who gave her a terrible tip. Lots of heated talk about personal liberties vs. freedom of speech. It seems employers are now looking at google, myspace and other website thing-a-ma-jigs to spy on future employees in order to secretly learn about them so they can deny them employment for whatever reasons they choose (political opinions, sexual orientation, class, etc.)
So of course, since we DO use our real names here, we're screwed. Royally. Maybe that's why the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago never promoted me at my job working for years as a graphic designer? The pope was reading my blog! (True story.)
The podcast that delivers sass and satisfaction five days a week- the Feast of Fools.

FOF #276 - Osaka Hernandez's Weddings - 03.28.06
![]()

Osaka Hernandez had a huge following in Japan. If Selena was the "Madonna" of Tejano music, then Osaka was considered to be the "Cyndi Lauper." Okay Osaka was a fabulous drag queen and never sang any conjunto music, but it makes a great introduction, doesnt it?
On todays show, our lovely New York City pal John Q Sanchez talks about his former life as Osaka Hernandez, his years of experience writing about weddings, chocolate fountains, open bars, and his fascination with Shelley Long's movie "Troop Beverly Hills."
Pictured on the right is the "Tippi Headren" wedding dress that John talked about on the show. For those of you who want to see the obscene cotton candy-chocolate fountain pics, click here.
Although our Meet N' Greet is officially on Thursday April 13th from 7-9pm at the Starlight Bar, we're planning to attend the night before the ThisisAdam queer networking cocktail hour, and then heading on to RUNT to hang out with short gay men. Runt is being promoted as a "gay night for short queer men and their admirers." John says that tons of female to male trannies hang out at this event (since they are naturally short guys themselves.) Will we see you there?
The podcast that never sleeps: the Feast of Fools.

FOF #274 - What a Crappy Week - 03.24.06
![]()

People, we have not had a good week here on the Feast of Fools! Today Miss Ronnie comes over to share the bad news of general gloom and doom in the world today and in our own lives.
The war is still going on, wasting millions of dollars and lives, the economy is shit, Miss Ronnie got a C+ on her exam, Elvis is dead, and Marc's not feeling that good himself.
We were at the gym doing squats, trying to get buffed for our big NYC Meet N' Greet on April 13th (which we will be there, do or DIE) when Marc seemed to have a panic attack, his heart beating quickly and furriously. (He's okay now, thank you.)
Listen today as Marc, Ronnie and Fausto chat about Beards making a fashion comeback, hot guys on our Frappr map, celebrities that will not die, and Texas cops arresting people in BARS for being drunk.
To make everyone feel better picture to the right is Scott Madsen the original Soloflex Poster boy who's ad campaign launched a whole new way of looking at the male body in advertising. He was the subject of many a gay teen fantasies (he certainly was mine.)
We don't make this stuff up... well at least most of it.

FOF #273 - A Family Affair - 03.23.06
![]()

Char Cepek wept when her son John Charles came out as gay. She cried because of the fear of the pain she knew her son would face in life, over the anxiety over the risks, discrimination and dangers that all gays and lesbians (and bisexuals and trannies) face in their lives. Char and her husband John already had gay friends, but now their own son came out looking for love and approval from them. He got it.
For Char and John tolerance was never an option. They took the opportunity of having a gay son to learn more about the gay experience and used it to expand awareness with hopes of making the world a place that embraces and celebrates gay people. Now years later, John and Char are leaders in one of the most effective gay rights movements in the United States, PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.)
On today's show we talk to this fabulous courageous couple about the PFLAG, advice on coming out to your parents, their gay son John Charles and their personal experience in dealing with dozens of families who are struggling with accepting their gay children and changing the world one person at a time.
Click here to download their free online pdf brochures like "Be Yourself" Questions & Answers for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth.
Also: what does their son John Charles (who's pretty handsome we hear) think about his parents? After the interview Fausto talks to JC about his family and his boyfriend.

Our lovely gal-pal Miss Understood pictured on the right joins us today to talk about her month-long trip to Thailand, Thai food, massage parlors, drag queens, trannies, costumes, and why Thai people are so laid back.
Also, Marc and Fausto speculate on Clay Aikens woes and Archbishop Skeletor's (Cardinal Francis George) body language yesterday when the results of the study done on sexual molestation in the Catholic church in Chicago and all the cover-up that was done. Let's just say he's not a happy man.

FOF #271 - Is This Good For Plants? - 03.21.06
![]()

We met actor/singer Anthony Wills Jr. at a local karaoke bar singing "Sweet Transvestite" at the top of his lungs, drunk off his ass. Victoria was with me when I saw him and both of us turned to each other and said "this drunk bytch is hot."
Anthony's someone who you will NEVER see on American Idol or anywhere else, but he is one of the few people I personally know who makes a living working professionally as a actor. Today Anthony shares his tips for young actors on how to survive in theater. If you live in Chicago go check him out tonight at the American Theater Company.
Also on todays show we talk about a recent masturbation study which discovered that a quite a few men like to relieve themselves into the household plants, the actions of the desperate, a lesbian fantasy sex-study, and the problems with cryogenics (paying the electric bill when everyone's long gone.)

FOF #270 - Desperately Seeking Sanity - 03.20.06
![]()

Stand back! This podcast is on fire. Today Marc, V-Marr and Fausto go off on a wild wild ride through the choppy terrain of American religious fundamentalism, starting off with a little skit "starring"conservative political candidate Merril Keiser.
It seems our good friend Merril in an interview recently 'fessed up to his true feelings about homosexuals, like Sir Elton John and Vice Prez Dick Cheney's lesbo daughter Mary "Uncle Tom" Cheney. He gets badgered into admitting the only way to deal with the Vice President's daughter is to kill her and compares laws against drugs to laws against homosexuality.
Of course this takes him into a dark inner turmoil, which thanks to his "charismatic christian" to english Vietnamese translator Ling Liang Trung, everything makes sense in the end. Sort of.
Vietnamese singing lessons, Russian senior citizen adult-film craze, granny trannies, Tim Miller's 1001 Beds, Friendster, Podcasting Trust Funds, and Death and Taxes.
Pictured to the right above is the 1000th fan (1001 because we're on the map ourselves) to post his picture on our Frappr map, Bryan Blackburn. Contratulations Bryan! You win a Feast of Fools Tshirt, button, stickers, archived file DVD, and tons of other goodies!

FOF #269 - Levi Kreis Bares His Soul - 03.17.06
![]()

Levi Kreis is nice. A childhood musical prodigy, his parents were blown away when at the tender young age of six he learned to play "Pomp and Circumstance" after coming home from his kindergarten graduation.
Levi spent most of his life honing his fine singing voice and musical skills, as well as dealing with being a gay man. It wasn't easy for him. In junior high he went to Exodus Ministries secretly, hoping they would be able to "cure" him of being gay. When he came out in college, he was kicked out of his dorm room and lost a lucrative christian recording contract.
But his story has a happy ending. Nowdays Levi travels with his good pal Eric Himan around playing their catchy acoustic music in venues all around the nation. He's out and proud. Levi helped compose the theme music for the show "Southern Baptist Sissies" and has his first single "I Should Go" in rotation on scattered radio stations throughout the country, and it was selected to be the theme song for the long-awaited reuniting of two characters on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." Soon after, CBS's "Young and the Restless" (or Y&R for you soap-addicts) debuted another track off Levi's album entitled "Hardly A Hero."
We'd like to think that Levi is a modern day, sexy, non-cheesy version of the 80's crooner Christopher Cross.
Listen to our in-depth interview with Levi Kreis, a deeply passionate, soulful and sensual man - it's no coincidence that this show's number is TWO-SIX-NINE! (As comedy legend Frank Nelson would say: "Oh yes.") If you have a moment, be sure to check out his website: levikreis.com

FOF #268 - Worshiping the Diva Within - 03.16.06
![]()

Nutritional Overacheivers Unite! Miss Ronnie is in the hizzy tonight as we explain how we put our foot in our mouth on yesterday's show. We make some apologies to our fine Australian listeners and read some of their letters.
Things are geteting a little crazy down there though as they export their foul language marketing to the U.K. Did you know that Australia is one of the few countries that eat both of the animals on their crest (kangaroo and emu). Would you eat a kangaroo?
On today's show we discuss a hotel in Germany that charges the guest by how much they weigh. One guy who won't have to pay as much these days is the devoted husband that gave his husband one of his kidneys, although his husband will have to pay a bit more now that he's got the kidney.
Miss Ronnie wants to know why aliens are playing dodgeball with our little planet. While nobody (except Pres. Bush Jr.) is debating that global warming (and evolution) actually is happening, the mechanics behind it are in reality a hotly debated issue. What do you think is causing global warming? Cars, farts, or comets crashing on the earth?
Pictured on the right is the reigning Queen of the "Imperial Windy City Court of the Prairie State Empire." Her full name is Empress II, Fabiola the Great Buckingham-Fontaine, Radiance & Luminescence of the Fountain. These TTT's (trailer trash trannies) are lovely to look at and work hard to raise money for charity, all for the excuse of walking around (in intense sincerity) and crowning themselves as royalty. Fausto and I are on their mailing list, so every month we get the newsletter we squeal with delight and horror at their fabulousness.

FOF #267 - Shaft Shafts Himself - 03.15.06
![]()

South Park regular Issac Hayes, well known for writing and performing the "Theme from Shaft" decided to leave the show after years of doing the voice of the chef because of what he calls the program's "growing insensitivity towards personal spiritual beliefs." NOW he notices?
Hayes claims the writers/producers went too far when they started poking fun at fellow scientologists John Travolta and Tom Cruise.
We are just befuddled by a religion started by a sci-fi writer who for some reason puts a volcano on the cover of it's book. (Why do they like volcanoes so much?)
On today's show Fausto and Marc talk about beer that comes like manna from heaven, the Queen of England states that half of HIV infected people live in the British Commonwealth, the alarming growth of obesity in Australia, and some lively comments about the reason folks get turned on by bondage and/or sado-masochism.
Pictured on the right (no, it's not Issac Hayes) is one of our lovely listeners Gary Caplehorne from the UK who sent in a song he wrote and recorded last year he hopes a fair amount of people can relate to. Gary, EVERYONE can relate to pussy beggin' music cause we all have to beg for it one time or another. So beg away Gary!

FOF #266 - Tim Miller Gets Naked - 03.14.06
![]()

Tim Miller makes a living traveling around the country talking about his life as a gay man in a way nobody else can. Usually getting naked in his solo one man performances, Tim weaves a tapestry of his personal experience mixed with decades of stories from being an AIDS activist with ACT-UP to fighting for gay marriage so he and his partner Alistair McCartney can live in the same country.
"For a quarter century, Tim Miller has worked at the intersection of performance, politics, and identity, using his personal experiences to create entertaining but pointed explorations of life as a gay American man—from the perils and joys of sex and relationships to the struggles of political disenfranchisement and artistic censorship," says the jacket of his book.
I always think of french fries when I hear the word disenfranchisement for some reason. Am I weird?
Today Tim Miller comes over to talk about his brand new book "1001 Beds"; a raucous and rowdy exploration of Miller's adventures in a performer's life fiercely lived in his travels through love, politics and art.
Tim probably will be in a city near you, so be sure to check his tour schedule and go check out his shows. We highly recommend it.
ATTENTION CHICAGO LISTENERS! 1001 Beds will be performed in the Bailiwick Studio Theatre in Chicago, IL for one week only Thursday and Friday, March 16th and 17th @ 8p.m. and Saturday March 18th @7p.m. Ticket Prices are $469.69, but mention the "Feast of Fools discount" and you'll get them for the LOW LOW PRICE of $25! FOF #265 - Lights Out, Nobody's Home - 03.13.06
![]()

A blackout forces us to do today's show "unplugged" and unscripted. The beautiful thing about being at home when the lights go out is that you get an opportunity to stop everything you're doing, appreciate each other, re-evalutate your life, and not take technology for granted.
Listen to a very raw cover of Baby Teeth's "Dream" sung by Fausto (with V-Marr backing up), and a spirited conversation about being young and gay in reference to 60's minute's piece on "The Science Of Sexual Orientation". We're just wondering if the control groups in these studies (also known as straight people) aren't lying when they say they aren't gay.
Lots of talk about carbon monoxide alarms, going to the bathroom in the dark, breakfast cereal conspiracies, gender appropriateness, and the ethics of polygamy.

Weekend Movie: Brokeback Mountain on Ice
I can't decide if this movie of ice-skating cowboys shaking their hips to Elvis' music makes all these Brokeback Mountain parodies more appealing or just nails the lid on the coffin of overkill even tighter.
Either way, it doesn't get any gayer than this. Make sure you catch that "arousing" ending with the hats. Is there a franchise in the works for Brokeback Mountain on Ice? -Thanks Craig Stoker!

FOF #264 - Voluptuous Love - 03.10.06
![]()

Caught with our pants down our fabulous friends Sal-E and GiGi Delxue (pictured on the right) stopped over to hang out and chew the fat.
Gigi was on our show a while back, she's this ample chested bombshell painter, club diva, and bubbly spirit that always livens up a room whever she goes. Gigi's art exhibition is closing today, so you only have one day if you live in Chicago to catch it. It's at Peter Jones gallery and the closing event starts tonight.
Click here for directions to Peter Jones Gallery.
Click here to check out some fab pics of our pink friend Gigi.
Today Marc shows us how to saber a delicious bottle of Rosé champagne which unfortunately some of it goes all over our carpet. Don't try this at home unless you know what you're doing. Wear safety goggles. Cracking open a champagne bottle with a knife isn't easy, and it's definitively a risk to your personal safety.
Lots of talk about Clay Aiken (yes, he's been caught working the manhunt now) hotel maid cat-fight, religious conservatives are sueing bloggers, and our up and coming trip to NYC for spring break (April 13th). Plus a special surprise phone call at the very end!
Please donate to our travel fund by clicking here. Help bring Ms. V-Marr (who's on welfare), and Ronnie, Amanda, Marc and your flaming blue pal Fausto to the Big Apple to meet you face to face!
In case you were wondering what Masking is, it's a kind of trannie fetish where you put on masks to look like a lady. Enjoy this wonderful photo gallery. This is creepy, hilarious, and wild!

It turns out the Loch Ness Monster after all was dumbo's momma. After years of people trying to solve what the Loch Ness Monster was, it turned out to be an elephant swimming. It was all just a big publicty stunt.
On today's show Miss Ronnie joins Marc and Fausto to talk about all sorts of delicious topics/news including the Loch Ness Monster, the Pope and his iPod, International Women's Day, banning abortions in South Dakota, taking porn to your grave, and dozens and dozens of shout outs to our lovely, lovely listeners.
Please post your comments on this page to celebrate Miss Ronnie's grade for her anatomy/physiology test for histology (she's studying to become a radiologist y'all.) Hey! She's not as dumb as she looks. Ronnie got a 97 out of a 100. Congratulations girlfriend! You worked your butt off.

FOF #262 - The Eroticism of Fascism - 03.08.06
![]()

The raptorous beauty in the tragic story of two young men in a Nazi training academy took our breath away last night!
We're talking about the Denis Gansel film "Napola" (Before the Fall) which takes place at an elite Nazi school for future leaders of the "Thouand Year Reich." In the film, a young handsome boxer (played by Max Riemelt) has to decide to follow the path of the Nazis or to break away.
This film beautifully captures the anguish the young men felt at the harsh Nazi military school. It ALSO feels like it borrows from a lot of great films like "Brokeback Mountain", "Harry Potter", "Titanic", "Dead Poets Society" and "Schindler's List." A film you should definitively see. We give it THREE thumbs up, if you know what we mean by that!
On today's show Amanda, Marc and Fausto chat about why Nazi's seem so gay, why gays can be such Nazi's, Tom and Jerry Cartoons, the jewish legacy of comedy, President Bush's stinky farts, Tom of Finland, hypermasculinity, and why we think the incredibly sexy Max Riemelt is Germany's answer to Jake Gyllenhaal.
Pictured on the right is a still from Napola where Freidrich (Max Riemelt) gets his eye colors examined to see if he's "Arian" enough. Is it me or is it a tad gay to see all these grown men fawning over the "perfect male specimen?" These grown men were cooing and drooling over their tender young "chicken" more than Dr Frankenfurter (Tim Curry) did in the musical film "Rocky Horror Picture Show."
By the way, does anyone know if Chuck Jones was gay? We can't seem to find any proof online.

Are you controlled by Uranus? What kind of sway does that freaky seventh planet from the sun hold over your sexuality? Maybe your a butch dyke because your Venus and your Moon collide? Just how in fact do these celestial bodies influnece our lives?

Where You At?
As amazing as it may seem, there are thousands of folks out there who religiously listen to the show every day. Well, at least their computers do. Why last month our interview with Dick O' Day alone was downloaded 9,781 times. That's a LOT of bandwidth people!
It gives us such a pleasure to look into the eyes of all our fantastic fans out there in this big blue marble we call Earth.
To celebrate the 1000th person to put themselves on our Frappr map, we'll be choosing at random (using one of those random number generator thingys) one lucky person to win a Feast of Fools t-shirt, calendar, button and DVD-collection of ALL our shows from 2005. ALL of them. Thats several DVD's folks. Why the 2006 calendar alone costs $24.99!
Since we're feeling generous, we'll also be giving the exact same prize to our 1000th person to post. So tell all your friends to click on the map and post your pic!

FOF #260 - Does the Red Carpet Match the Drapes? - 03.06.06
![]()

Gay cowboy movie Brokeback Mountain unfortunately did not sweep the Oscar awards last night. However it did win three awards:
• Best Director- Ang Lee
• Best Adapted Screenplay- Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana
• Best Original Score- Gustavo Santaolalla
You really got to give it to Argentine born Gustavo Santaolalla for writing such a great score for Brokeback Mountain which along with the advertising campagin and the art of the closeup allowed dozens of parody movies to pop up everywhere.
What was terribly disappointing was the lack of personal stance on gay marriage any of the alleged-heterosexual Hollywood folks made after profiting from so many movies this year based on queer themes. (Transamerica, Capote, Brokeback Mountain)
We're thrilled that these movies have been made. They've made money and are critically acclaimed, but come on Hollywood! Give the gays some props. A shout out would have been nice to us real homosexuals. At LEAST give us one measly moment of Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger standing next to each other! It would have been nice to see a photo of them together at the Oscars (like an alternative reality where they lived happily ever after.)
On today's "Oscarcast" (there we said it, and now we own the domain!) we'll be discussing and disecting the Isaac Mizrahi's and Ryan Seacrest's red carpet interviews, a move we feel was made by the good folks at E Television as a nod to BB (that's industry talk for Brokeback Mountain.)
Join Fausto, Marc, V-Marr and Amanda as we talk about dozens of red carpet celebs and their clothing, Dolly Partons song "Travelin' Thru"
(available FREE by clicking here) and Jon Stewart's joke about Hollywood being out of touch with the American public.
Pictured on the right is Transamerica's Felicity Huffman trying hard not to look like a tranny, so she wore a see-through black dress.

FOF #259 - Naked Love - 03.03.06
![]()

One fine day, Debbie Moore and her lover Nina decided to see what would happen if they went for a walk around the block naked arm in arm. What they discovered deeply impacted both of them, their friends and their lovers for the rest of their lives.
On todays naked-podcast (we took off our clothes for the interview) painter, musician and performance artist Debbie Moore shares her amazing experience of being a body/nude activist in California, and living in a group marriage for over three decades.
Although Debbie is well-known and loved for co-founding the Xplicit Players, she is also a formidable painter in her own right. Her fabulous love of the human body with a impressionistic play of light and color are just something to see in person- so if you live in San Francisco...
ATTENTION SAN FRANCISCO LISTENERS!!!
Today, March 3rd, from 7-9pm
Debbie Moore will be having an art exhibit of her paintings at
City Art, 828 Valencia Street (between 19th & 20th)
Debbie will probably be tallest woman in the room, please tell her that Fausto and Marc sent ya, and she will give you a "Long and Enduring Embrace." These are good people folks. Be sure to go and tell us how it went!

FOF #258 - Feifdom of Freakishness - 03.02.06
![]()

One of the most loveable podcasters, Amanda Steinstein joins us today to talk about Domino's Pizza founder Thomas S. Monaghan desire to build a ultraconservative town free of gays, pornography, drugs, and propbably non-catholics called Ave Maria.
If you thought your neighborhood was creepy enough, just imagine what this ultraconservative hell-hole will be like. And they WILL be willing to drink the Kool-Aid.
Listen to todays show as Amanda tries out the new microphone we got to accurately capture her deliciously high-pitched voice. Lots of talk about caviar, polygamy, golddiggers, gay-hatin' fat people, pizza zombies, and faking your own death to avoid paying $500 in parking tickets.
