FOF #267 - Shaft Shafts Himself - 03.15.06

South Park regular Issac Hayes, well known for writing and performing the "Theme from Shaft" decided to leave the show after years of doing the voice of the chef because of what he calls the program's "growing insensitivity towards personal spiritual beliefs." NOW he notices?
Hayes claims the writers/producers went too far when they started poking fun at fellow scientologists John Travolta and Tom Cruise.
We are just befuddled by a religion started by a sci-fi writer who for some reason puts a volcano on the cover of it's book. (Why do they like volcanoes so much?)
On today's show Fausto and Marc talk about beer that comes like manna from heaven, the Queen of England states that half of HIV infected people live in the British Commonwealth, the alarming growth of obesity in Australia, and some lively comments about the reason folks get turned on by bondage and/or sado-masochism.
Pictured on the right (no, it's not Issac Hayes) is one of our lovely listeners Gary Caplehorne from the UK who sent in a song he wrote and recorded last year he hopes a fair amount of people can relate to. Gary, EVERYONE can relate to pussy beggin' music cause we all have to beg for it one time or another. So beg away Gary!
Bring the FOF to NYC! Chip any amount of money you have in your coin jar by clicking here. Help bring Ms. V-Marr, Ronnie, Amanda, Marc and your flaming blue pal Fausto to the Big Apple to meet you face to face. We've raised $456 dollars so far!

P.S.- Glad you liked pup Don and my pic from Cirque! Thx for posting it!

Okay guys (Marc):
I managed to listen to your feed via the internet! Oh my god, you guys are too fucking funny!
No, I never lived in Pittsburg... I'm not quite a black guy... Never said I was a "Pro", but a whore is more accurate (lol!)
Marc, you nailed my voice (sort of). The "cross" you were trying to get the name of is known as the "St. Andrews" cross. I'll be there for your beating when you guys get out here for the California M&G! Maybe get you up there myself (evil grin).
And, no, pup Don doesn't eat dog food... At least I haven't seen him do it.. The voice was right on!
Now I'm off to work!
Love, kisses, and a 100k zap from my stun gun,
Buzz

Ummm... Marc, there are over fifty countries in the Commonwealth and many of them are in Africa. The Union of South Africa is one of them and it's one of the worst places in the world for HIV infection.

OMG you guys, Im going crazy today because there is no feed for the show on itunes. Is there any other way that I can listen to the show today?
Said by: Eugene at March 15, 2006 12:11 PM
Eugene:
You can always listen to the direct feed from this site. You just can't download it to your iPod. That's what I did this morning.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for using the song. I loved today's podcast, it was hilarious. I just wish Miss Ronnie had been there, oh how I love the queen of all bitches! Filled out the questionnaire (sponsor thing) and now we're befriended on myspace. Hurrah!
Can't wait for tomorrows show....I'm up-to-date now! I had loads to get through as I only heard about you in Oct/Nov. So listen up sponsers....we do listen to the back catalogue...and believe me I have lived and breathed FOF for months...it all seems to have blurred into one. I think I'm gonna go catch me some air. Love you all Gary C ps I wish I lived in New York x x x

OMG, I just got through today's podcast! LOL! You guys are awesome! Funny you chose Scooby Doo as my voice, I love him and used to have my entire bathroom done in Scooby stuff. I don't talk with an english accent, I'm afraid, but Marc did a great job on Buzz's voice. LOL!
To answer your question, I don't eat dog food, most of it is made with really nasty byproducts. Although you can get all natural biscuits that humans can eat (but they're usually dry and pretty tasteless). I'll stick with my favorite puppy treat, Nilla Wafers.
I do have some dog bowls for when I'm in puppy mode and a nice collection of fancy ones that are shaped like regular bowls that I use as dinnerwear. One time my mom and dad were visiting and while we were eating soup my mom stopped for a moment and said, "you know, this looks a little like a dog bowl". I realized then that there's a special place in Hell for me for making my mother eat out of a dog bowl.

Oh, I have to add one more thing. Thank you guys for the compliments and for being able to talk about stuff like bdsm and puppy play with an open mind. And yes, you have to have a sense of humor to do the things we do. I take my play very seriously while I do it, but there are times when I'm having a casual evening out with my friends where we talk about some of the things we've done and just laugh our asses off. You have to enjoy life, you only get one chance.

Personally, I think it's that Vegemite. That stuff is nasty to us Yanks. It tastes a bit like spreadable Soy Sauce.

Is there like a general donation fund thingy that I can somehow make my monthly donation (kinda like what I do with NPR)? Heck, I listen more to the Feast of Fools than I do NPR nowadays -- It's only fair that you guys should get the same "pledge" from me (if not more). Thanks for making my work day less productive (at least for about an hour every day). You guys rock!

Lucas,
Thank you for your support. I hope you are wearing your tshirt! You have an excellent idea. We'll defintely look into doing that. Until then, please everyone, contribute to the NYC fund. This is our reward-to meet you all. After NYC, we are going to LA and if I have anything to say about we are off to the U.K. next (with a little side trip to Paris and Berlin and other parts). Keep the dollars rolling in and the next thing you know, we will be on your front steps. Atlanta? Lauderdale? San Fran? Hong Kong? Boston? Toronto? Edmonton? Sydney? Beijing? Melbourne? Where you at? We will come see you. Don't worry about a thing though, Vmar will bring the cake.

Guys! That awful Gay Sexcapades podcast was not audio of him having sex! It was him telling about his hookups over bad porn music. And he has the most unattractive voice *ever*. Nothing like the two of you... you don't even have to talk about your filthy anal sex to turn me on!

That little song was so cute...I love it how throughout the world how people embrace african-american culture. It really cool, i remember when i was in the middle-east I heard Rap in arabic and in the clubs how they took popular HIP-HOP songs were mix with arabic.. it was hot. And Japan in hearing gospel music..that took me.. music is truly the bridge that brings people together.

You guys didn't realize this, I'm sure, but you are #1 *and* #2 on Yahoo! I'm sending you the screenshot via email now... add that bitch to Flickr and start telling your listeners to search gay-friendly Yahoo! instead!

As much as I love to sing, I wish I could write songs like this. It makes me a little jealous of those who can. :)
This was a fun show... just the two of you. I like that. I envision you just sitting in your jammies, with a cup of tea or whatever, just talking about whatever comes to mind... it's sweet. And even sweeter that you share it with us. :)
