Podcast
Over a decade ago Rick Karlin met his partner Gregg Shapiro
and they have been madly in love since then. Today we celebrate long-lasting relationships everywhere with a delightful assortment of cocktails concoted by Rick himself.

Rick is the founder of "Night of a 1000 Drag Queens" one of the largest drag-queen costume contests, where on Halloween weekend literally thousands of drag queens compete to win the grand prize.

Today we'll also be talking about a new book Gregg's story is in: Sex & Chocolate: Tasty Morsels for Mind and Body available for purchase here.

Celebrate your love, enjoy your solitude or dull the pain of bitter loneliness today by fixing yourself some of these wonderful cocktails! Enjoy.

Regarding Whoopi Goldberg. I met her on a train going to the Brussels airport in 1983 before she became big. She was coming from doing a comedy act in Berlin. We were both late for the same train and I helped her carry her bags and she borrowed 5 dollars from me for a sandwich. She told me that originally she had changed her name to Whoopi Cushion, but then she met an American man who had just returned from a kibbutz trip to Israel where he married an Israeli. When he met Whoopi he dumped the Israeli and married her. His last name was Goldberg and that's where the name came from. When I met her she told me she was flying to LA for a movie audition and I didn't believe her. I thought she was kind of crazy and she smelled really bad.
