FOF #207 - Do They Fear What We Fear? - 12.12.05

Podcast
Jim Bennett and hot lesbian comedian Mandy Price
join us today to talk about the queer comedy group they're in, GayCo and their brand new holiday show "Do You Fear What I Fear."

There's a gay theater building here in Chicago where it seems just about every other show has hot men naked, prancing around. Not that we mind, mind you. Marc and I just HAD to ask what's the deal with their next door neighbors show: Naked Boys Singing (or what we call it, Naked Men Shivering, since they never seem to have the heat on in that place.)

On the right we see their publicity photo with a hot guy holding a blue ball. Jim and Mandy are on the left.

Listen as Jim and Mandy delight us with a fancy present, plus letters from our sexy gay British listeners, and lots of talk about the new words the Oxford English Dictionary added to their dictory this year. The word on top of the list? Podcasting, of course.

We'll be waiting with baited breath!

You miserable peons.

Just because I spoke to you from a bed covered in vomit from drinking too much gin and look slightly like a mental homeless is no reason to question my hygene in an international broadcast.

Good show otherwise though.

Bravo.

In reading the New York Times this morning, I came across an article about the new concept of Video Podcasting. Of course I knew you guys were cutting edge ... vanguards of an exciting new medium, but I was disappointed that V-Marr's show was not mentioned. V-Marr is so synonymous with transgendered podcasting that I thought the term "vPod" was named after her. Someone should contact Robert Mackay at the Times and let him know that he has overlooked the finest in vPod entertainment ... V-Marr.

Brian

Howdy gang!

Happy Holidays to the entire Feast of Fools family, and thanks for another great show!

For the record, I.C.E. (from the list of terms that didn't crossover into the vernacular) actually stands for, "In Case (of) Emergency." You know… because in the event of an emergency where you're unable to dial your phone, the first thing rescue workers do is scroll through your mobile phone's contact list, or, um… whatever.

Well Brian you know that the New York Times is always going to ignore the good stuff, unless it's made into a movie a decade later?

The good shit never gets noticed in the beginning! Well at least Apple knows whats good and put you guys in the the featured comedy podcast page. I love the Feast of Fools, so I guess that makes me a groundbreaker.

I haven't listened to the show yet but I'm sure it';s bound to be good with my good friends from Gayco in it. Since when is V-Marr transgendered? I thought he just put on a wig for attention-like I do?

Said by: David at December 12, 2005 12:27 PM

David,
Honey that wig is not just for attention, its for transitioning his/her gender. If you don't think your transgendered, well, we will have a lot to discuss when when you come on the show next time. Which is when?
