FOF #191 - Austin Satisfaction - 11.08.05
There's a whole new generation of gay men who have a much more open view about the world. I dont know how to describe it, but I know when I see it. Brandon, the podcaster from Austin Exhaustion is one of those wonderful people you casually meet at an anti-war rally who then later become friends with you for a very long time.
On today's show, listen as Bradon and me, your flaming blue pal Fausto do a little soundseeing tour of Austin, Texas. We even went inside the SEXY Gregory Gym Locker Room on the University of Texas Campus where all the hot college jocks change to give you the sounds of lockers slamming.
We also had a delicious sushi dinner with my mom Patricia and her pan-Asian housemates Jing and Josna (please forgive me for my horrible spelling guys.)
Later this week: Victoria Lamarr celebrates her birthday with a double date with Miss Ronnie, and a BRAND new segment from our NYC correspondent John Q Sanchez!

Okay dude, I have one complaint about this show... it was too short! Otherwise it was delightful! Hope you have some pictures from the locker room!

Awwww... it still would have been nice to hear about the affair but thats alright. From listening to this show Brandon sounds like a really cool guy! Hope to hear more soon.

While you were in Austin, did you remind your mother and friends to vote no today on Proposition 2? It is the proposition up for vote in the state of Texas to define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

Yeah, my mom voted, on the blue state side of things. But most votes in Austin are kind of a blue oasis in a red sea.

Totally got the word out re: Prop 2 in TX. Bravi to those who worked hard to get the educational material and facts out to Texans! Comments on the show - yes - very short. Loved the interchange with Jonas(?), Jing, and Mom! Want more Pat! Mom needs to know she has fans too! Fausto - Austin really has sushi? That's great, but I only really eat sushi on the coasts. Just curious.... Was really hoping you would podcast from some of the Austin clubs - i.e., Charley's or the 1920's on Congress by the State House, etc. Jay (server at Hula's) would make a fab interview as well. Have a wonderful friend who performs at Lounge (adjacent to Spaghetti Warehouse in the warehouse district) - Jacinta who would LOVE to plug her stuff. Moving to Houston soon - next time you visit Mom/Brandon - we should talk interviews. Love the "road trip" episodes. Keep up the travel and the fabulous entertainment!
