FOF #159 - Champagne Yacht - 09.23.05

Marc and Fausto go for a 3 hour-tour (edited down to 50 minutes) in memory of TV camp legend Bob Denver (Gilligan from Gilligan's Island). Well sort of.
We got to go on this totally fun and Mum Champagne filled yacht cruise down the Chicago River, and saw all these lovely sights, like Bob, the Captain of the Ship.
Afterwards, we went to see the famous Cloud Gate (also known as The Bean) in downtown Chicago's Millenium Park, and ran into local newscaster Leann Trotter.

I think I'm finally catching on to how you guys click so well. For example, upon seeing the boats, Fausto, like a little boy, exclaims that the big boat looks so great. Then Marc, like a dad, says matter-of-factly, no, Fausto, that's not our boat, it's the little one over there. Then Fausto sounds crestfallen and wonders if he's going to have a good time. But, then dad-Marc reassures him that everything will be OK - "I think it's going to be very, very nice." So cute! :) Seagull sounds also appreciated.

I want Marc to be my daddy. Fausto can be my pill-popping drag-mom...a backdoor petunia in hand with a towering blue beehive up to the sky, very B52's "Rock Lobster". I love it.

Oh yeah. I nominate myself to get the wonderful album art make-over from Dag or Fausto if HotPotatoMo doesn't claim her prize because I'm opportunistic like that. Come on HotPotato, claim that prize...or I may have to! Pass the champagne, please!

Great show, especially the ending.... There is nobody that Fausto can't spontaneously interview.

I know! He's so good, I was in awe of him and Madge at Crawford last month.

Loved the Chicago cruise show. I was able to go on a gay cruise down the river into Lake Michigan a bunch of years ago that was a blast, and listening to your trip reminded me of the fun it was.

Vunderbar dalink! I listened to you guys while I was walking in the falls colors today. I heard every bridge you floated under. I was getting pretty thirsty for some bubbly by the end.
Meeting you pal on the street and doing your dry runs for plugging her show reminded me of doing radio ads in Jackson Hole.
Great one babes,
k
