FOF #137 - Deep in the Heart of Texas - 08.23.05

We continue our coverage of Camp Casey in Crawford, Texas, where hundreds of Pro-Peace activists are gathering to help try to bring an end to the war in Iraq.
What we kept thinking the entire time we were there was this feeling that here was the birth of a new grassroots movement being born. On todays show we talk to three generations of women who are working for Peace: Corn, Heather, and Diane.
Picture on the right is Code Pink's Heather, Patricia Fernos, and Diane.

What do you think of Adam Curry's latest rant on the "noble cause" of Iraq?

1. I'd sleep with Marc, of course.
2. the most touching moment of a very touching podcast was when you said to your mom in the car "when I was little I looked to you to explain things..." i really got verklempt... a genuine, tender moment.
3. Mamacita is sooo smart. I was nodding my head the whole time she talked. Her comments about Babylon and the museums going lost after the invasion... so astute.
And you think i don't listen. What'd I say on MY show today?? Huh? HUh?

Hey Ms. Minneola, do you write every podcaster that you listen to and ask them to listen to you?
Thats like me recording an album and marching up to Charo and asking her why she doesnt listen to my flamenco guitar playing.
