Our very first martinicast, we feature two delicious things: the GiGi and Andy Wibbels, the man behind the popular Andymatic weblog/podcast. Drink Name: Gigi
Marc's South American gal pal dances by the name of Gigi. She introduced him to this fabulous drink from her native land, although we think that she simply made it up. You're supposed to finish the drink by pouring it over your chest, down your body and into a wide-mouthed martini glass or a willing mouth, also known as the "pie in the sky" technique of serving a cocktail.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ounces Pisco (Peruvian White Brandy)
1 ounce Fresh squeezed Lime Juice
1/4 ounce Simple Syrup (one part water, two parts sugar, bring to boil, let cool)
1 tablespoon of pasturised Egg Whites
1 dash Angostura Bitters.
Drop ice into shaqker, add lime juice, Pisco, symple syrup, and egg whites. Shake until frothy, strain into chilled glass. Float a dash of Angostura Bitters on top just before serving. Garinsh with a lime wedge.
People used to use raw egg whites in drinks a lot. Nowdays you can use pasturised egg whites to get the delicious frothy effect without the danger of salmonella poisoning. Gigi is quite a drinker herself. One day Marc found her passed out in a bar, and he expressed his concern about her state of being. Gigi replied "Oh Marquitos! You know, from time to time, we ALL pass out in bars." Marc tried to drill it into her head "NO GIGI! From time to time we do NOT ALL pass out in bars." Marc and Gigi no longer speak, but hope to renew their friendship someday.

Hey Victoria, why don't you do a podcast? I mean, you are stunningly beautiful (really, I gently kiss my signed V-mar picture as part of my daily ritual), and I'm sure the videocast will be amazing, but I'd really love to be able to take you with me to work a few days a week.
